Merritt Parkway

If you love driving, this is one road that will not disappoint you.

80 odd miles of pure bliss. Fast cars, thick canopy, cool breeze and exotic sceneries… BTW, I saw my first ever Ferrari on this road…

New York New York!

Man is impossible. That’s the first thing that I felt when I saw the skyline of manhatten coming onto the 42nd street from the subway station also called – times sqaure. The bright lights amaze you and the view takes you back for a sec. You look up and you see what you have seen all your life on tv and movies. That’s probably when it hits you that this is where the entire mankind’s recillience is at its full proud display.

It’s a wonderous city. A city where you feel confident, brave and proud. A place where you know you can be what you really want to be and do everything that you want too. The sidewalks are full with people from all over. There is cusine from all over, everytype of delicacy and speciality. The parks have fair’s all the time and carnivals are just round the corner. You find tourist’s, businessmen, actor’s, models, writers, musicians and diplomat’s all hurrying through the madding crowds to do what they must but in this process add their own little touch to the fabric of this city.

Every street has something to offer – movies, plays, cooking shows, music classes or poetry recitals. There are jugglers who make you wonder at the ease with which they do their tricks, street artists who make you believe what ever they say or do, beautiful women who know that they are and carry the true air of arrogance that I have found so scarce, power brokers who run world finances and drug peddlers who may be on first name basis with the countries who’s who.

But if there was a time when I felt really bad was when you see the skyline from the ellies island – the immortalized view depicted in almost all the references to NY. You can’t help but miss the WTC towers and just imagine for a second how complete the skyline would have been. You just can’t help but feel bad for what happened and how wrong it was…

I fell in love with this city, truly. I will keep going back here, for a long while and as many times as I can… is this the place that I have been serching for a while…

Prelude to a travel blog:

…and the time has come when the boys shall leave all their worries behind and take off on an escapade to a hitherto unknown destination.

The weekend seems promising after a considerable time and hopes are high for conquering many a travails that might cross our path.

I shall be back to reminisce all those wonderful moments that we shall have and in times to come will cherish all those moments…

Pondy… here I come…
