In a Fight for Justice…

To all who think we oppose reservations:

None of the forward castes oppose reservations and we think we need them in a country like INDIA! But these reservations should and must be allotted only to the economically backward people across castes and religions and the creamy rich who do belong to these backward castes should not benefit from such laws.

This is a common ideology across all the sections of people and students protesting the reservations and demanding Arjun Singh’s head. Is the above demand wrong? Look what’s happening in a fight for justice:

These pictures… it’s a repeat of 1989… at that time it had made my blood boil and I had joined the agitation… today… it makes my heart bleed… public opinion is nothing but shit to those in power. I’m saddened by these pictures as they bring back memories of my past.

its the typical congress vote bank politics…
congress has won all the elections that it did coz of two things-sympathy and minorities…
    its sick…
beating up students is a violation of the fundamental right to freedom of speech and expression as well as freedom of assembly(article 19 (1) and (2))…
but then when did all this matter…
fanaah is being banned because aamir khan made remarks about modi and supported narmada bachao andolan…
did our constitution makers forsee this while they racked their brains jus to make sure that india is truly democratic???

Those pictures sadden me. I can feel their pain and anguish. My brother recently became a doc and has been a part of such protests in Mumbai so it hits me even harder. I have seen him slog his butt off preparing for his entrance exams and would really be pissed if someone undeserving walks away with a seat just coz he/she falls in the quota.

Reservation is good or not is a different issue but beating them up and getting them out of there forcefully is open disregard to their right to express.
